Peninsula Bangkok Readies For Chinese New Year

BANGKOK, THAILAND — The Peninsula Bangkok plans to welcome the year of the Tiger with New Year specialities and two auspicious set menus, “Fortune” and “Wealth” to bring luck in the coming year.

According to a press release received by Elite Traveler, the menus are available from February 1-16, 2010. The à la carte specialities and menus are available for both lunch and dinner with traditional candied fruits and Lai See or “lucky money” as gifts.

Chef Jacky Ho, Executive Chinese Chef of The Peninsula Bangkok’s Mei Jiang restaurant and his team have drawn on their knowledge and skills in bringing authentic Cantonese cuisine to a new level and creating a range of special menus for Chinese New Year.
