Oberoi Group Issues Mumbai Statement

Mr. Vikram Oberoi, Joint Managing Director and Mr. S.S. Mukherji, Vice Chairman of The Oberoi Group visited the families of the staff that lost their lives during the recent terrorist aggression in Mumbai India.

After a memorial service, in his address to the staff, Mr. P.R.S. Oberoi, Chairman, The Oberoi Group said, “We must not look back; let us look ahead. We have faced several challenges in the past and we shall face this challenge with fortitude.”

Trident, Nariman Point, Mumbai, will reopen to guests on Sunday, December 21st, 2008. This hotel is one of The Oberoi Group’s two hotels in Mumbai; the other being The Oberoi hotel. A round-the-clock effort is underway by the management and staff to ensure that the hotel is ready to receive guests. When the hotel reopens, enhanced security will be in place.

At this time, an exact date for the reopening of ‘The Oberoi, Mumbai’ has not been determined.
