Metzingen – For the sixth year in succession HUGO BOSS will be an official co-sponsor of the Berlin International Film Festival, which is being held from February 5 – 15 this year. “Being an established partner to the event now, we are delighted at its increasing success and the growing international recognition it is receiving. The Berlinale represents an ideal platform for presenting HUGO BOSS as a professional and high-profile partner to the film industry,” says Philipp Wolff, Director of Communication at HUGO BOSS AG.
Perfectly at home in the creative and emotionally charged world of the cinema, HUGO BOSS has been supporting films with products from its BOSS and HUGO brands for many years. The movie opening Berlin’s 2009 festival – “The International” by Tom Tykwer – exemplifies this association, with the stars Naomi Watts and Clive Owen both wearing BOSS Black. During the event, a POS promotion featuring a special window display is being held at the BOSS Store on the capital’s Friedrichstrasse. Additional Berlinale films supported by HUGO BOSS are the competition entry “Deutschland ’09” by Tom Tykwer and the forum film “Sometime in August” with Marie Bäumer.
Other movies spotlighting the success of HUGO BOSS wardrobing include “Bride Wars” starring Kate Hudson and Anne Hathaway, which is due to be released in Germany shortly; Desert Flower with Lyia Kebede, which will be hitting movie screens in the fall; and the German production “Männerherzen” by Simon Verhoeven.
