In the evening, you’ll be driven to the Tower of London in a Daimler which once belonged to the Queen Mother for an exclusive after-hours’ tour led by one of the Queen’s Beefeaters (guards of the tower) and champagne reception.
The pièce de résistance, however, is the private viewing of the Crown Jewels and the Royal Collection at the Jewel House. Here, you’ll be able to marvel at the glittering treasures on display including the largest diamond in the world, St Edward’s solid gold crown and Sovereign’s Orb, and the Imperial State Crown adorned with over 2,000 diamonds and a breathtaking collection of sapphires, rubies and emeralds.

If you’re looking for something a bit more casual, you can opt for the Royal Jewels and Afternoon Tea experience. Guests staying in any room at Hotel Café Royal over the summer will be able to celebrate the Platinum Jubilee with a trip to a Royal-warrant holding jeweler in Mayfair to see a display of Royal tiaras and jewels followed by a champagne reception in the jeweler’s private salon. After the visit, you’ll be chauffeur-driven back to the hotel for traditional afternoon tea in the lavish Oscar Wilde Lounge with more bubbly, before enjoying cocktails in the cozy bar.
The Hotel Café Royal Jubilee Weekend Crown Jewels and Royal Coronation Regalia experience is available for guests staying in the Royal Suite and is priced at $19,540 per night. The Royal Jewels and Afternoon Tea experience is available for guests staying in any room or suite category between June 1 and October 1 with prices starting at $2,420.
