This summer, The Goring – London’s last family-owned luxury hotel – will be welcoming back one of the UK’s most renowned chefs, Rick Stein, for his second partnership with the five-star hotel. Known best for his world-class seafood cookery, Stein will be hosting a summer pop-up at The Goring from June 14-20 that will include a series of lunches and dinners, a cooking demo and a book signing.
Available exclusively with an overnight stay (that includes a guaranteed upgrade), the pop-up will invite guests to choose between a three-course lunch or dinner bursting with delectable Cornish flavors and created by the talented Stein family.
Dining will take place on the veranda that overlooks The Goring’s private garden to make the most of the long summer days. A Rick Stein book is also included as a memento for guests to take home, and Stein will be doing a meet and greet book signing later in the week.

The series of three-course meals will incorporate some of Stein’s signature dishes, including Tronçon of Turbot with Hollandaise sauce, Sea Bass Ceviche, crispy Smoked Mackerel and Green Mango Salad and Whole Dover Sole meunière with noisette butter. As part of the pop-up, Stein’s sons Jack and Charlie will also be hosting an intimate cooking demonstration of some of the iconic dishes.
The Rick Stein summer pop up at The Goring – the only hotel to hold a royal warrant from HM The Queen – is the second partnership that the famous British chef has done with the luxurious hotel, following the well-received ‘A Taste of Cornwall at The Goring’ that Stein conducted in 2017.
The Goring is making the most of pandemic restrictions easing with a fantastic summer line up that – as well as Rick Stein’s pop up – includes The Lobster and Fizz Garden and the return of Teddy the Shetland pony as The Goring’s ‘pony in residence’ from August 16-31.
