The Oberoi Group is set to make its grand debut in London, bringing its renowned Indian luxury hospitality to the UK with a new boutique hotel opening in Mayfair. Positioned at 40-46 Brook Street, The Oberoi, Mayfair will mark the group’s first UK property, nestled in one of London’s most esteemed locales.
While details are being kept tightly under wraps for now, what we do know is that the 23-room hotel will be part of the development in South Molton. Positioned in the heart of Mayfair, it is an area already known for its cultural vibrance but will soon boast this luxurious new addition, which Grosvenor has positioned as the premier destination within the extensive West End redevelopment.
The 33,000-sq-ft property, a restored listed building, is part of Grosvenor’s ambitious South Molton project, the largest mixed-use development in the West End. Alongside the hotel, the project will introduce new office spaces, residences, cafes, shops, restaurants and leisure facilities, scheduled for full completion by 2027.

Rachel Dickie, executive director of investment and development at Grosvenor, commented: “Confirming a brand as prestigious as Oberoi Hotels & Resorts will have its first UK presence at South Molton, in the heart of Mayfair, is what we mean when we say we are creating a destination of international significance.”
The Oberoi Group’s expansion into London marks the latest stride in its ambitious international expansion, which also includes the opening of The Oberoi Melouk and Malekat, two luxury Nile Dahabiyas cruises set to launch in 2025. Alongside these distinctive river cruises, next year, Oberoi is also set to unveil The Oberoi Vindhyavilas Wildlife Resort in Bandhavgarh and The Oberoi Rajgarh Palace in Khajuraho, both in Madhya Pradesh, India.
