The Royal Mansour Collection has expanded its outlandishly luxurious portfolio with the opening of Royal Mansour Tamuda Bay, marking the group’s third Moroccan hotel.
An icon of the North African – and indeed global – hospitality scene, the Royal Mansour Collection has been hard at work in recent years. In April 2024, the group re-opened the historic Royal Mansour Casablanca following a mammoth eight-year restoration project. Over in Marrakech, the flagship Royal Mansour hotel remains one of the world’s most famous properties and was recently ranked among the best hotels in the world for the second year running by the World’s 50 Best awards.
As the youngest in the family, Royal Mansour Tamuda Bay has big shoes to fill. Located on Morocco’s Mediterranean coast, around a 1.5-hour drive from Tangier, the hotel sits on its own stretch of beach with views reaching out over the ocean from each of the 55 suites and villas.

In true Royal Mansour style, accommodations are expansive with the smallest coming in at just over 860 sq ft. The best in the house, however, are the Privilege Seafront Villas, which come with their own private pool. Each villa receives dedicated butler service, too.
Although more contemporary in design than its Marrakech big sister, Royal Mansour Tamuda Bay still proudly calls on Moroccan traditions in its design – local weavings, zellige tiles and marble mosaics are all incorporated, with the finest craftspeople called on to bring the vision to life.

In true Royal Mansour style, heavy emphasis has been put on the hotel’s gastronomic offering with three Michelin-recognized chefs working across its four restaurants. At Le Méditerranée, guests can indulge in the signature seafood-heavy cuisine of Spanish chef Quique Dacosta; Éric Frechon has created a menu that fuses French and Japanese flavors at La Table; and at Coccinella, brothers Massimiliano and Raffaele Alajmo offer beloved Italian classics including fresh pasta and wood-fired pizzas.

Firmly positioning itself as an all-encompassing resort, Royal Mansour Tamuda Bar is firmly family-friendly with a comprehensive beach club welcoming children from ages 4 – 12. Younger guests can partake in calligraphy, cooking and music classes (each with a focus on Arabic traditions), as well as cooking workshops, beach games and boat rides. There’s even a kids-only dining room, complete with scaled-down furniture and a child-friendly menu.

For the grown-ups, a destination spa is slated to open in December. Expect emerald marble pools, a comprehensive treatment menu, cosmetic procedures and fitness facilities – including a Pilates studio.
For the more adventurous guests, the hotel offers water biking, kayaking, foil surfing, wake surfing, water skiing and wakeboarding, as well as Seabobs for underwater discovery. There are also two Riva boats for more genteel water excursions.
