New York’s bustling harbor of ferries, barges, tug boats and cruise ships increasingly is hosting superyachts. After all, if you have the money it sure beats Circle Line if you want to enjoy the Manhattan skyline, and for the July 4th fireworks, the view from your own yacht can’t be beat.
The 164-feet MY Arianna built by Delta Marine Group debuted in 2012. She has already been featured in over 100 magazines from China to Russia and was also the venue for a video “Sexy People” by rapper Pitbull (below). Along with the famous Macy’s fireworks this year located on the East River as well as a dramatic show from New Jersey, the Arianna could be spotted under the rocket’s red glare.
Having just completed a 10-day charter along the mid-Atlantic, she will spend the rest of the summer on charters between The Bahamas and New England before locating to the Caribbean for the winter where she already has bookings for the British Virgin Islands and St. Maarten. From February to November a week runs $195,000 excluding food, fuel, taxes, tips and incidentals. December and January run $225,000.
The yacht can host 12. Amenities include a heated bathroom floors, rain forest showers, a full gym, Scandinavian sauna and a Doettling safe with six watch winders in your office. An outdoor spa and deck space for sunning and covered dining provides plentiful indoor and outdoor options. There is an elevator that runs the entire four stories, and the interior’s modern Balinese inspirations with exotic hardwoods has drawn raves from the yachting press.
