Air Tahiti Nui Voted “Best Airline” And “Best Cabin Staff” In Pacific Region For Sixth Straight Year In SkyTrax 2008 World Airline Survey

By Pardhasaradhi Gonuguntla

LOS ANGELES, CA – Air Tahiti Nui has been named the “Best Airline – Pacific Region” in the 2008 Skytrax World Airline Survey® for the sixth consecutive year. Noted as the world’s most respected and recognized airline awards and the only truly global independent passenger survey of airline standards, Skytrax also named Air Tahiti Nui “Best Cabin Staff – Pacific Region” for the sixth straight year.

Skytrax measures over 35 different aspects of passenger satisfaction of an airline’s product and service standards, evaluating “typical” travel experiences. Results for the 2008 awards were calculated from 15.44 million completed surveys from leisure and business air travelers of more than 95 different nationalities across all cabin types. The “Best Cabin Staff” award was determined by: assistance during boarding, applying safety procedures, food and beverage service efficiency, sincerity, courtesy and enthusiasm of staff, language and problem solving skills, consistency of quality among staff, total cabin efficiency and presence, and staff grooming and presentation.

“It’s thrilling to be recognized with our sixth continuous placement at the top of Skytrax’s Pacific Region survey,” said Nicholas Panza, Air Tahiti Nui vice president Americas. “As we ready for our tenth anniversary celebration in November, it’s particularly gratifying to be honored with these coveted Best Airline and Cabin Staff awards, which validate our goal of providing the very best flight experiences for our passengers.”
