Big news for the Aman faithfuls! PRCo officially announced the launch of Ámanoca, a five-star villa and hotel development created south of Rio de Janeiro in the Costa Verde region of Brazil. Aman Resorts has worked with developers Derek & Desmond Pinto on Ámanoca, which is scheduled to open between late 2013 and early 2014.
The intimate feel of Ámanoca is maintained with just 23 hotel suites and 19 villas for sale. Each of these suites and villas boast incredible panoramic views, as the resort is perched about 295 feet above sea level. Located a short 20-minute helicopter ride from Rio, Ámanoca occupies an expansive and secluded section of coastline property.
With access to the resort’s own nature reserve and designed by Denniston International Architects and Planners Ltd.’s award-winning Jean-Michel Gathy, Ámanoca’s fully-furnished beach and ocean front villas start at a price point of $6.5 million. Most villas feature four bedrooms, indoor and outdoor living space, an infinity pool, and access to the resort’s private Beach Club and Spa. For a buyer with special taste, a villa can be modified to include additional bedrooms or entertainment space.
An afternoon spent at the Beach Club offers cocktails and views to boot. It will house a collection of pools where guests can take a dip while overlooking the Atlantic Ocean’s white sand beach. The Beach Club will also be the site of the Ámanoca restaurant with a relaxed setting and delicious dining options.
As any true Aman junkie knows, a stay at an Aman resort would simply be incomplete without a trip to the spa. Ámanoca’s 11,840-square-foot Aman Spa will provide guests with the chance to completely unwind in the top-of-the-line facility. Treatments include therapeutic massages, body, wraps, and body scrubs. The spa also offers areas for yoga and meditation.
Ámanoca doesn’t just stop at the spa and beach club. The resort has a helipad, tennis court, health center, and the option for guests to participate in a multitude of activities including scuba diving, sailing, and deep sea fishing. A jaunt on one of the resort’s crewed yachts can take guests to any number of locations, including the coast of Costa Verde for swimming between the area’s isolated islands.
