Avcon Jet Expands

By Pardhasaradhi Gonuguntla

Austrian based business jet operator Avcon Jet is further enlarging its unique sales structure. The ever growing team of Sales Managers in Austria will be increased by local sales representatives in Europe’s capitals to guarantee a more personal customer care. Therefore Avcon Jet is proud to announce the opening of a new branch office under the patronage of the supervisory board, Dr. Andreas Staribacher and Mag. Erwin Soravia, in the Hungarian capital Budapest.

The branch office with a team of Sales Managers under the direction of Gábor Hőgye, is mainly responsible for chartering out the business jets of the Austrian business aviation company. Besides this they will also offer Avcon Jet’s widespread choice of products to their clients.

“With the opening of the office in the Hungarian capital we made the first step in establishing a global sales force. Avcon Jet offices in further European countries, e.g. Scandinavia, the Russian capital Moscow and the prestigious French town Cannes will follow very soon’ Christian Lang, CFO of Avcon Jet says. “We believe that especially in these times we have to serve the market, offer our products and build up a strong and personal relationship to our customers. It is essential to enlarge the sales forces – it underlines the unique and flexible business model of our company, adapting to the market.” Christian Lang adds that “we are delighted to welcome Gábor Hőgye, who brings a wealth of regional knowledge, to our team.”

Gábor Hőgye has been successfully working in the business aviation branch for many years and has access to an excellent international network. The newly founded branch office will serve the Hungarian as well as the European market. “Avcon Jet is the fastest growing business aviation company in Europe”, says Gábor Hőgye. “The company has an ongoing success story, since the launch in 2007, and offers therefore a high potential for the Hungarian and European market. It is a pleasure to work with a young and innovative team and to be part of a success story.”

With five more aircraft to be delivered in the next four months Avcon Jet continues the efforts to become a global player in the field of business aviation. A Raytheon Hawker 400XP, a Bombardier Learjet 60, a Gulfstream G150, a Bombardier Challenger 300, an Embraer Legacy 600 as well as a Bombardier Global 5000 will further expand the ever growing fleet to eighteen aircraft. The aircraft will presumably be based in Vienna, Kiev and Moscow serving the markets in Europe, Eastern Europe as well as the Middle East.

Alexander Vagacs, CEO of Avcon Jet, says that “the steadily growing fleet is underlining the trust people place in our company. In combination with the establishment of a global sales force we will further strengthen our position as the private bank amongst the operators.” Alexander Vagacs believes that “the time is right to invest in both – establishing of a global sales force as well as the fleet.”
