New York, New York – Reported by Elite Traveler, the private jet lifestyle magazine

The new hotel brand Harlequin Hotels & Resorts recently announced the U.S. launch of Buccament Bay Resort, the first luxury resort on the island of St. Vincent. Located 90 miles west of Barbados, St. Vincent is an unspoiled tropical haven that provides visitors with an opportunity to explore an island less traveled, yet still gives its guests an authentic Caribbean experience. This all-inclusive 5 star resort delivers extraordinary service and offers a range of unique activities that cater to all interests.

Built to the highest specification, Buccament Bay Resort’s state-of-the-art facilities include 95 villas. Situated among the lush tropical gardens or directly on the pristine beach are a selection of one-, two- and four-bedroom villas, equipped with spacious living rooms and sophisticated décor. With two master bedrooms furnished with king size beds and two bedrooms with twin beds, the plantation villas are the perfect setting for a vacation with family or friends. All of the property’s villas have large wooden shutters that open directly onto a deck with a plunge pool, the ideal location to enjoy spectacular views of the sea, lake or river.

“We are thrilled to announce the U.S. launch of Buccament Bay Resort, the first property under the Harlequin name,” said David Ames, founder and chairman of Harlequin Hotels & Resorts. “We have appointed a management team consisting of individuals with excellent reputations and proven track records for managing five star hotels worldwide and cannot wait to welcome U.S. visitors to the resort.”

The resort’s General Manager Mark Sawkins is well established in the hotel industry and has over twenty years of involvement in successful enterprises. Of the property, Sawkins said, “At Buccament Bay Resort, we fully understand Harlequin’s mission to deliver an unprecedented new level of supreme luxury at each resort. I truly believe that our property will redefine luxury in the Caribbean and deliver a world class destination experience that offers something for everyone.”

The beautiful island of St. Vincent provides Buccament Bay Resort the opportunity to create the ideal setting for a wide variety of activities and an environment in which every guest will be entertained. Whether guests prefer lounging and rejuvenation, exploration or developing an array of skills, the resort has it all.

For water sports enthusiasts, Indigo Dive offers a wide range of PADI courses and dive excursions around St. Vincent. Guests can also enjoy three swimming pools with sun loungers, umbrellas and waiter service; snorkeling; kayaking; motorized water sports; glass bottom-boat tours; dolphin and whale watching; deep sea fishing; and catamaran and motor boat trips.

If guests prefer to hone a particular talent, the property features a one-of-a-kind resort Academy that offers experts soccer and tennis coaching, and includes the Pat Cash Academy and Liverpool Football Club Soccer School. Music lovers of all ages have the rare opportunity to be coached in voice, acting and movement by world-class professionals from Broadway and the West End. Private and group classes are available, where the syllabus is inspired by hit television shows and musicals, such as Glee and Mamma Mia!

For relaxation, The Spa at Buccament Bay Resort is an oasis of peace and tranquility and just steps from the beach. The Spa is the ideal escape from the stresses of everyday life to relax, and offers a selection of treatments with ESPA products. Cocoon-like treatment suites, as well as outdoor gazebo and beach treatment options provide guests with a haven of relaxation.
