Puerto Vallarta, Mexico – Reported by Elite Traveler, the private jet lifestyle magazine
Cuixmala, which means the “soul’s resting place,” is hosting an innovative new yoga retreat. The retreat, taught by world renowned musician, author and yogini Maya Fiennes, will take place from Saturday, December 15th to Saturday, December 22nd 2012 and will celebrate the ending of the Mayan calendar.
Since Alix Goldsmith-Marcaccini opened Cuixmala to international travelers in 2003, her late father Sir James Goldsmith’s compound in Mexico has become a home-away-from-home to new friends from around the world. The estate is a stunning 25,000 acres of land, lagoons, and beaches, featuring vast wildlife and unspoiled beaches. All the food served at Cuixmala is produced by the property’s own organic farm or by the family’s El Jabali ranch in the Mexican highlands.
Additional activities include snorkeling and kayaking, surfing, tennis, nature walks, bird watching, mountain biking, horseback riding, lagoon tours, sail boat rental, fishing boats, private massage and beauty treatments, releasing of turtles to the sea, access to a championship golf course and professional polo grounds.
The price for the week is $3,850 per person, including accommodation, all meals and two yoga classes per day. Transfers to and from Manzanillo (the closest airport) or Puerto Vallarta will be available upon request; moreover, there is a landing strip at Cuixmala for the private jet traveler.
Additionally, an extraordinary celebration on the beach will be happening on the eve of December 21st to commemorate the ending of the Mayan calendar and reservations will be available for retreat participants.
