Christian Louboutin Opens New Men’s Boutique in Heart of La La Land Luxe

By Pardhasaradhi Gonuguntla

Los Angeles, California— Reported by Elite Traveler, the private jet lifestyle magazine

This holiday season is a busy time for Christian Louboutin. Hot on the always-fashionable heels of the brand’s first U.S. men’s Boutique( in New York City’s Meatpacking District), a brand new men’s-dedicated retail destination is set to make its West Coast debut this month.

Located across the street from its sister store on Robertson Boulevard, the 980-square-foot space was designed by Christian Louboutin and the New York based architecture firm 212box. The boutique’s exterior façade is expertly crafted with geometric, Basaltina stone tiles to create a herringbone pattern, while two august Cyprus trees frame either side of the entrance. As seen in the men’s boutiques in Paris and New York, diamond-paneled leather walls, hand-embroidered with various shoe patterns from Louboutin’s own designs, offer a luxurious background to display the designer’s red sole creations. Pleated, turquoise leather wallpaper, created by 212box, adorns the walls behind the signature men’s metal circle displays. To celebrate each purchase, laser-cut white cowhide crisscrosses decorate the wall behind the cash desk in a dazzling patchwork.

The store contains four distinct retail spaces which, when combined, offer the largest collection of men’s shoes and accessories on the West Coast. The designs range from the new Louis Junior low top sneakers, offered in mixed fabrics and embellished with studs, to the classic silhouette of the Bruno brogue with an unexpected touch of neon for spring. Reflecting the growth of Christian Louboutin’s men’s accessories over the past 12 months, the LA Boutique also features a variety of travel bags, such as the as the perfect weekend getaway tote the Maurice bowler, to small leather goods including the new Alexis document holder and Paros wallet.

Though expansive, the boutique offers a truly bespoke shopping experience, allowing customers to create their own personal pair of shoes in the “Tattoo Parlor”. This parlor offers shoppers the freedom to add a unique touch to their favorite pair of Louboutins by adopting personal tattoos (or one chosen from Louboutin’s designs) into intricate embroideries in order to create a truly one-of-a-kind shoe.
