The grand opening of the highly anticipated SLS Las Vegas Hotel & Casino, originally set for Labor Day Weekend, has been moved up to August 23.
With construction wrapping up ahead of schedule, SLS Las Vegas announced that the resort will open its doors to the public earlier than expected. On August 23, Vegas will celebrate the newest resort to open on The Strip in nearly five years, bringing thousands of new employment opportunities for the city’s locals. Developed by global hospitality leader sbe, SLS Las Vegas is the stylish transformation of the legendary Sahara Hotel & Casino. Located on the northern end of The Strip, the new luxury resort is preparing to reinvigorate the Sahara’s iconic grounds.
SLS Las Vegas boasts three distinct hotel towers—each designed with a unique personality. In addition to the towers’ 1,600 guest rooms and suites, the all-encompassing resort and casino provides 80,000 square feet of flexible meeting space and a collection of sbe’s acclaimed restaurant and nightlife brands. SLS Las Vegas’ lavish nightlife offerings include a reinvention of the popular live music hotspot, The Sayers Club, the edgy and sophisticated nightclub and lounge, Foxtail, and the 20,000-square-foot mega-club, LiFE.
With a diverse range of services and amenities, the resort aims to create an unforgettable experience for its elite guests. Befitting the luxury approach of the property, SLS Las Vegas features a one-of-a-kind collection of highly praised restaurants such as Bazaar Meat by the internationally acclaimed chef José Andrés, and Katsuya by master sushi chef Katsuya Uechi. Committed to culinary excellence, SLS Las Vegas’ innovative dining concepts provide options for every taste and occasion.
“After two years of collaborating with a world-class culinary team, that includes a collection of some of the most talented chefs on the planet, we’re proud to now be taking reservations and welcoming our guests for what we believe is an unrivaled dining experience,” said Matt Erickson, Senior Vice President of Restaurant Operations for SLS Las Vegas.
On June 17, the resort turned on its impressive new marquee to officially begin counting down the number of days until its doors open to the public. Built with more than 12 million LEDs and 4 million pixels for standout quality, the 10,000-square-foot marquee illuminates the property while heightening anticipation on The Strip—embracing the exhilarating spirit of both SLS Las Vegas and its infamous city.
“It’s such an honor to be part of a dedicated team working around the clock to help bring our vision to life,” said Rob Oseland, President and COO of SLS Las Vegas. With its new grand opening date set for August 23, the resort is now accepting reservations for room accommodations and select dining destinations.
