Nobu Opens in Rome
Nobu has finally landed in Italy. The brand’s three main stakeholders, Chef Nobu Matsuhisa, Meir Teper and Robert De Niro, marked the occasion with a sake ceremony, this week in Rome’s Via Veneto.
“We are incredibly proud to introduce Nobu Hotel and Restaurant Roma, a project that beautifully embodies our brand’s philosophy of culinary excellence, design and heartfelt hospitality. Rome’s rich cultural history and timeless elegance make it the perfect setting for our Italian hotel debut,” says Trevor Horwell, CEO of Nobu Hospitality.
Each of the hotel's 117 rooms channel the brand’s trademark minimalism, including a three-bedroom Nobu Villa with a penthouse balcony overlooking Via Veneto. Outside of the suites, amenities include a spa with a marble pool, sauna, steam and treatment rooms, as well as a rooftop terrace for cocktails and a Nobu restaurant. Expect all the classic dishes with, allegedly, a few Italian twists for good measure.

Como Is Coming to the French Riviera
After years as a private estate, the 1914 Belle Époque Le Beauvallon will reopen in April 2026 as COMO Le Beauvallon, the Singaporean group’s first stop in Saint-Tropez. With previous guests including Audrey Hepburn and Winston Churchill, COMO is hoping to capture some of the quintessential Riviera glamor in its latest European opening.
The hotel sits atop a ten-acre hillside that slopes down to a bayside pool, restaurant and beach club, where yacht tenders can moor right at the door. The hotel's 42 rooms and suites will all be bay-facing and will be decorated with pieces from the hotel’s 300-strong art collection. The property will also offer a complimentary eight-minute speedboat across the bay to Saint-Tropez.

La Reserve Announces Its First Italian Property
La Reserve’s first Italian property will open next June, in a restored 15th-century palazzo on Via Santo Spirito in Florence with just six apartments. Each of the suites will be designed to feel like private homes, with access to the hotel’s gym, library and rooftop terrace.
The palazzo was acquired by Olivia & Gregory Marciano in 2022, who have embarked on a multiyear restoration project in partnership with La Réserve and Michel Reybier. While further details are yet to be announced, the owners promise to offer guest a slice of Florentine life, with a selection of authentic cultural and culinary experiences.

Singita Sets Sights on Botswana
Singita is venturing to pastures new next year, opening a lodge in Botswana’s Okavango Delta. Elela – Setswana for 'flow' – will be built across the 175,000-hectare NG26 concession, a private area of floodplains, islands and waterways home to more than 400 bird species.
“As a brand built on a shared love and reverence for nature and Africa – passed down through generations – Singita has longed to create something meaningful here, with the people of Botswana,” says Jo Bailes, CEO of Singita.
Though the full plans are still under wraps, we know the lodge will feature eight circular camps, each raised on stilts to let the Delta’s seasonal waters pass underneath, with its own dedicated team consisting of a guide, tracker and host.

London Is Gaining Another Members’ Club
Maslow’s, the members’-club-meets-workspace brand behind 1 Warwick and Mortimer House, is opening a new outpost in Kensington next spring, which will be spread across two floors of The Kensington Building.
The concept looks to integrate work and wellness together, so while there will be plenty of private work spaces, the club will also be home to a nutrition-led cafe, a gym and studio, where members can enjoy everything from personal trainer sessions to complimentary massages.
