Filming for British black comedy Dom Hemingway took place at Karma Royal Group’s Le Preverger property in the French Riviera.
Actors Jude Law and Richard E Grant stayed and worked at Le Preverger while filming Dom Hemingway. The property serves as a backdrop for much of the film.
The French Riviera estate previously belonged to British designer Laura Ashley and French actress Jeanne Moreau. Karma Royal Group and chairman and CEO John Spence have acquired the property and will start renting it out in spring 2014.
Le Preverger has 18 bedrooms along with a helipad, vineyard, wine cellar and swimming pool. The whole property can be hired as a package in June, July and September. Individual rooms will also be available to rent during spring and fall.
Karma Royal Group CEO and chairman John Spence said: “It’s an old château going back to the 17th century. If walls could talk, the stories would be immense. You feel part of history.”
Previous owner Jeanne Moreau hosted names such as director Orson Welles, actress Brigitte Bardot and artist Pablo Picasso there. Princess Diana and former prime minister Margaret Thatcher are also among its previous guests.
