Pringle of Scotland is partnering with New York luxury accessories label Sigerson Morrison for the footwear to be featured in its Spring/Summer 2009 womenswear show.
“I am incredibly excited to have the opportunity to work with Miranda and Kari to create the exact style of shoes to compliment my collection this season. The line has a strong modern edge and unique point of view.” – Clare Waight Keller
“We have really enjoyed sharing the process of building these shoes with Clare and her team – it seems that we have a common language of style” – Kari Sigerson, Miranda Morrison
The footwear is of the softest Italian Nappa leathers in a subtle palette of cream, greys, and dusty pinks, which flawlessly integrates with Waight Keller’s vision for the Spring/Summer 2009 womenswear collection.
The silhouettes are strong but soft; drapey straps tie or snap around the foot and ankle in made-to-measure fit and looks. A low sandal shares the same knotted simplicity but for a more low-key effect.
Pringle of Scotland is one of the oldest luxury brands in the world. Under the direction of its creative director, Clare Waight Keller, it has transformed from a luxury knitwear specialist into an exciting luxury designer brand.
Sigerson Morrison was founded in 1991 by Miranda Morrison and Kari Sigerson. Their covetable footwear collection has cultivated a cult-like following and is complemented by a successful line of small leather goods. The duo won Council of Fashion Design Perry Ellis Award for best new accessory design.
The “Sigerson Morrison for Pringle” line will be available in Sigerson Morrison stores and select retailers in February 2009.
