iPad-toting fashion fans are in luck: Stella McCartney has launched an all-new application for the device, now available for download on iTunes.
Featuring original content, the app highlights all the latest news from the label through a special “what’s new” section (the launch issue includes a backstage look at the spring/summer 2011 showing in Paris as well as an exclusive performance from Pharrell Williams and N.E.R.D at the after-party). “Stella’s Diary” allows users to follow the designer on the day of the New York presentation of her spring collection, while interactive stories – including an interview with tennis pro (and face of the Adidas by Stella McCartney tennis line) Caroline Wozniacki – provide behind-the-scenes access to all things Stella McCartney. A new video entitled “In the Park,” directed by Alasdair McLellan and starring Dree Hemingway, showcases the fall/winter collection’s most iconic looks.
To cap off the launch, the designer has created a suitably chic iPad case, rendered in her signature faux leather with a chain trim. Retailing for $395, the case will be available online and in Stella McCartney stores worldwide. Stay tuned for the next issue of the application, to be released this spring.
