London – As a part of its build up to the launch of its first boat YachtPlus, one of the world’s most exclusive, fractional ownership super-yacht companies, has appointed Robert Hersov to the position of Vice Chairman and Chris Moody to the role of Director of Sales.
ROBERT HERSOV
47 year old Hersov has had an illustrious career in the world of big business both as a private investor and entrepreneur and brings a wealth of experience to the position of Vice Chairman. He currently serves on the Advisory Board of Berkshire Hathaway-owned NetJets Europe Ltd, having been Vice Chairman of NetJets Europe since he sold his business Marquis Jet Europe, which he founded in 2001, to private fractional ownership NetJets in 2004. Prior to this Hersov founded and, from October 1998 to December 2002, served as the chairman of Sportal Ltd., a company that operates an Internet site that offers sports-related games and videos. From September 1995 to September 1997, Hersov was the chief executive officer of Telepiu PayTV in Milan , a pay TV and digital satellite company. From March 1993 to August 1995, he served as an executive director of Richemont, a listed tobacco, luxury and media conglomerate. In 2005 he became a founder member of YachtPlus.

CHRIS MOODY
In the early part of his career Chris Moody was a professional golfer playing principally on the European tour where he gained very considerable success winning the European Masters in 1988 and finishing 19th in the Order of Merit the same year. He served on the tournament committee from 1982 to 1990 and was a member of the Board of Directors from 1992 to 1994. In 2002 he was part of the team that launched Marquis Jet in Europe which was subsequently bought by NetJets Europe Ltd where he served as Senior Vice President between 2004 and 2008. Moody will have overall responsibility for the development of sales for YachtPlus.
Formed in 2005 by a group of international financial investors, YachtPlus has rapidly established itself as a front runner in the business of fractional ownership and early next year the company will launch one of the most spectacular and exceptionally beautiful contemporary yachts to the market. This 41 metre masterpiece was designed by the internationally renowned architect Norman Foster and will be the first of 10 identical super-yachts to be built over the next three years by Italian boat building specialists Rodriquez Cantieri Navali.
