World-acclaimed fashion designer, Diane von Furstenberg, unveiled her DVF Penthouse on Hayman, Australia’s celebrated private island destination, on October 27, 2012.
The project took approximately six months to complete and was executed in Australia by Georges Raymond Gelbsmann from DVF who delivered Diane’s vision for contemporary luxury suite lifestyle designs. The project created a stunning two-bedroom penthouse embellished with everything from bleached European oak flooring with woolen floor rugs for comfort to artwork from Diane Von Furstenberg’s personal collection of photography from her travels.
The penthouse is bathed in a color palette of beach sand walls adorned with vivid white trim, including accents of American Oak timber furniture designed by DVF and produced by Arthur G in Australia.
The bathroom of the penthouse is a haven of relaxation and calm, with neutral tone fish scale tiling in bathrooms and an Apaiser stone basin and a magnificent Apaiser stone bath. The interior of the suite is grandiose reaching 17,223 square feet and provides guest with a lovely wrap around balcony for breathtaking views from every angle. The beauty of the Great Barrier Reef is reflected in all aspects of the penthouse.
The opening reception was held in one of the lavish suites were guests enjoyed delicious cocktails and the beauty of the design of the new luxury suite. The party continued with a secluded dinner party in the lush Hayman Rainforest. After the reception, Diane herself feel in love with the beauty and charm of Hayman, extending her stay to nearly five days and enjoying all that the private island has to offer.
The DVF Penthouse will accommodate up to four adults and offer full Butler service, meals and other special inclusions.
