Shanghai, China- Reported by Elite Traveler, the private jet lifestyle magazine

Shanghai is known for its business districts and cultural attractions, making the global city a popular destination for business and leisure travel. The Renaissance Hotels recently opened its sixth Shanghai property, the Renaissance Shanghai Caohejing, further expanding the brand’s presence in Shanghai and the Asian market.

The new 383-room Renaissance Shanghai Caohejing is managed in partnership with Shanghai Caohejing Park Huagang Properties Ltd and is located in Caohejing New Technology Development Zone in the Xuhui District. The luxury hotel serves as a perfect retreat in the heart of the neighborhood with easy access to the nearby Hongqiao business district and shopping areas. The property offers Deluxe Rooms, Club Rooms and Suites, including the Presidential Suite. Guests will find stylish five-star amenities and technology in the area’s first international hotel, which combines traditional Chinese décor with a contemporary Western feel. The hotel’s spacious interiors also contain elevated ceilings and expansive windows, providing natural light and creating a relaxing environment for guests.

“We are delighted to partner with Shanghai Caohejing Park Huagang Properties Ltd on this new Renaissance Hotel,” said Simon Cooper, president and managing director Marriott International, Asia. “The opening of the Renaissance Shanghai Caohejing cements our position as the dominant player in Shanghai, representing our 19th hotel in this vibrant city,” he said. “It also demonstrates our confidence in the strength of the Renaissance brand, which continues to grow in China.”

The Renaissance Shanghai Caohejing is also a great destination for local and international cuisine with four restaurants and a hotel lounge. Wan li, the hotel’s signature Chinese fine-dining restaurant, offers Cantonese and shanghainese delicacies. Guests can dine in one of the 10 private dining rooms decorated with a modern design that incorporates Shanghai’s local history and elements of feng shui. Smoki Moto is a modern and casual restaurant that offers Korean BBQ, sushi, teppanyaki favorites and signature Sojo cocktails. Guests can dine all day at Café BLD, which serves up a new take on Renaissance Hotel’s three-meal restaurant. The sleek café offers the best of local and international favorites prepared in an open kitchen for guests to enjoy. For those looking to sample afternoon tea or discover the best in fine wines, The Lounge is the place for you. The stylish spot also offers live music as part of RLife Live, the Renaissance brand’s renowned entertainment program.
