Trump International Hotel & Tower Toronto® Invites Guests to Indulge in A-List Festival Experience

By Chris Boyle

trump_dining_For the second consecutive year, Trump International Hotel & Tower Toronto® is proud to be an official hospitality partner for the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF).

While TIFF began as the “Festivals of Festivals” in 1976, Trump Toronto celebrated its first festival just one year ago, and has now proven to be the ‘hotel of hotels’ during TIFF. As potential Oscar nominees and industry insiders emerge on TIFF’s red carpets, Trump Toronto is rolling out its own glittering array of VIP events and amenities honouring the unique sensibility of Toronto’s annual celebration of cinema.

“Guests arriving from around the world for TIFF appreciate that Trump Toronto’s level of service and offerings are unparalleled,” said Mickael Damelincourt, General Manager. “As always, our guests will enjoy our exceptional suites, world-class spa and acclaimed restaurant and lounge.

Rated #1 on TripAdvisor, Trump International Hotel & Tower Toronto will be offering the following special amenities in celebration of TIFF from September 5-15:

World-renowned Canadian photographer, George Pimentel, will exhibit a selection of his candid, black and white celebrity photographs exclusively on the walls of STOCK® Restaurant Bar and Lounge. The images will highlight Pimentel’s most notable shots spanning the past 25 years of TIFF.

Thirty-one floors above the paparazzi, STOCK® Restaurant Bar and Lounge plays host to the festival’s most exclusive celebrations with an extended 4AM liquor license. The Terrace at Stock allows guests to mingle while taking in the most spectacular views Toronto has to offer.

Chef Todd Clarmo’s enhanced TIFF menu features highlights such as the Trump Seafood Tower ($48) overflowing with sweet crab legs, colossal tiger shrimp, shucked oysters, poached and chilled Nova Scotia lobster tails, steamed mussels, served on ice with pommery mustard aioli, cocktail sauce, mignonette, horseradish and lemon.

Guest can also indulge with a Tomahawk RibEye Steak ($175), aged 40 days and weighing 50oz grilled with bone – in that comes paired with buttered asparagus, sautéed wild mushrooms, harissa potatoes, truffled mac n’ cheese, béarnaise and peppercorn sauce. Guests may add two grilled lobster tails for $48.

A sweet ending to the cinematic meal comes in the form of the Towering Inferno for two ($28), a colossal dessert of vanilla bean, salted caramel and mango TORONTO® ice cream wrapped with Valrhona chocolate cake and Italian meringue, flambéed tableside in Grand Marnier.
