BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. – Beverly Hills adds a new, tasteful and sophisticated brand with the newly unveiled Kauffman Martini at Nic’s Beverly Hills. The purest and most expensive martini in Los Angeles, the Kauffman Martini is clean, unadulterated and unparalleled in taste. Using Kauffman, the world’s most luxurious vodka, restaurateur and Vodkateur Larry Nicola has created a martini that is served in its purest form no fancy fusions, no mixers, no added flavor. Served in specially designed mouth-blown glasses created by self-taught artist, Michael Weems, the Kauffman Martini can be enjoyed exclusively at Nic’s Beverly Hills at a cool $150 – of course there is the added bonus of keeping the glass as a treasured memento of the lavish encounter. The finishing detail of this ultra-glam experience? Nic’s tableside bar cart service features a clear, custom
Lucite cart, frosted with ice and Kauffman displayed vodka.
The only vintage vodka in the world, Kauffman is distilled 14 times which makes it not only the most distilled vodka currently on the market, but also the most expensive marketed vodka in the U.S. (retailing approximately at $250 per bottle). The Russian vodka is produced only in the years when the wheat crop satisfies quality demands in strictly limited quantities. Each bottle carries its own unique limited edition number. It is also made with soft, pure water taken only from natural resources and then filtered through birch-coal columns and quartz sand giving it its renowned pristine look and taste. Kauffman is only sold in a handful of places in a select five U.S. cities, which makes this martini an exclusive indulgence.
You really want to enjoy Kauffman vodka on its own and completely untouched, says Nicola. With Kaufman, you want to taste all its nuances you really want to taste the wheat of the vodka=C9the purity and integrity of the spirit. Anything that is mixed in with this vodka not only takes away from its taste but also takes away from its glamour.
Such decadence should only be served in a modestly elaborate glass. Patterned after 17th century Italian tapestries, the specially designed Michael Weems glasses are rare in design as no two glasses are exactly alike. The color is blown into the glass and the patterns are individually etched and carved by hand. These elegantly appointed glasses, retailing at $85 each, help make the Kauffman Martini an uber-luxe, limited edition libation.
We’ve taken what we feel is the best in the world and have paired it with a beautiful and unique glass that really captures the essence of how a martini should be enjoyed, says Nicola. Matched together, the two are the ultimate blend of the martini culture.
With the advent of the Kauffman Martini, Nicola has continued to evolve the martini and make its mark as an inherent part of the cosmopolitan cocktail culture. In fact, Nic’s was formerly La Familia – a regular jaunt of Dean Martin where he would coolly sip on martinis. If Dean’s ghost of martini past could visit Nic’s now, he’s be pleased to know that the martini still reigns in what used to be his old stomping ground and is still very much Rat Pack cool.
Known for its steak & spa’ing cuisine, extensive Martini menu and the VODBOX (Nicola’s one-of-a-kind modern, walk-in exhibition vodka tasting freezer) Nic’s Beverly Hills is a longtime LA favorite to food and vodka aficionados worldwide. Modern American cuisine and d=8Ecor with vibrant colors and cool lounge are featured along with today’s top deejays and music. Nic’s Beverly Hills is located at 453 North Canon Drive.
