The luxury resort announces the return of The Ice Rink for the winter season, but this year, light snow showers are added to the wintery mix.
Starting Friday, November 21, visitors will be able to take in the vibrant scenery of Las Vegas Boulevard while sipping on seasonal cocktails and roasting s’mores by the fire. With 4,200 square feet of real ice, guests can comfortably skate on the rink under the soft blanket of snow falling from above.
‘Date Skate’ Mondays are also making a popular return, where visitors can experience a date night on ice as three holiday movies such as A Christmas Story, Elf, and Miracle on 34th Street are shown on the resort’s digital marquee.
Other activities include ‘Industry Skate on The Strip’ Wednesdays where DJs turn the rink into a wintery nightlife experience, and the beloved ‘Throwback Thursdays’ which give guests the opportunity to dress up in leg warmers and disco attire as they skate their hearts out to music from the 70s, 80s, and 90s.
To warm up after a brisk skate, guests can choose from seasonal food offerings such as grilled cheese, tomato soup, and a chili bread bowl. For those 21 and over, the Campfire Delight cocktail is a favorite among guests. Created with Patron XO, crème de cacao, RumChata, and marshmallow, it’s sure to bring back nostalgic memories of campfires past.
Those looking for a fun and unique way to ring in 2015 will find The Ice Rink a perfect fit. For the best view of the fireworks, guests can reserve cabana, daybed, and fire pits complete with premium bottle service. A live DJ will also be featured for the New Year’s Eve celebration.
The Ice Rink will be open from November 21 – January 4. Hours of operation are Monday – Friday from 3 p.m. to midnight and Saturday – Sunday from noon to midnight. A light snowfall will occur every 30 minutes Thursday – Sunday evenings between 6 and 10pm. throughout December.
