Summer is almost over, but Le Royal Monceau – Raffles Paris is hanging onto the feeling of the season by extending the duration of its Royal Garden Terrace by Tanqueray pop-up through the month of September.
In collaboration with Tanqueray, the hotel’s chef barman is creating innovative cocktails with bites from Italian chef Gennaro Nasti (think Japanese-style tacos and couture pizzas). Each Monday there are weekly jazz concerts in the outdoor space, and in addition to drinks and cocktails, Pierre Hermé Paris will be serving ice cream from a chic cart to try while enjoying the terrace ambience.
Drinks on the menu all have Tanqueray gin and among the cocktails created for the summer include the Royal Tonic (with grapefruit, berry and timutap pepper) and English Frozé with watermelon and lemon. These tasty drinks bring to life the fun and playful side of summer. You can also order drinks such as the Dry Monceau, Bridal Bouquet and Raspberry Fields Forever. Casual-yet-sophisticated bites, including lobster tacos and truffle pizza, are perfect to pair with your cocktails while you are enjoying music outside.
When the sun sets over the City of Lights, take to one of the hotel’s decadent restaurants, which includes the Michelin-starred Il Carpaccio; La Cuisine; Matsuhisa Paris or the lounge bars for quick bites, Le Bar Long and Viñales Lounge.
Anyone who has been to Paris knows that this Raffles property is one of the most well-designed hotels in the city. If you find yourself here for a weekend, be sure to book the 241 Presidential Suite. Despite modern amenities and contemporary design, the building’s vast history can be seen throughout all of its guest rooms – and this beautiful suite is no exception. Enjoy blush pink, purple and white tones throughout the palatial suite, courtesy of design extraordinaire Philippe Starck – you will truly feel like you’re in a fairytale.
