Celebrating Christian Dior, Dior releases its first automaton watch with charming moving elements on the dial. Designed to enchant the wearer, and developed entirely in-house, this new Grand Soir brings together symbols of his life, including the star that guided him; the address of his fashion house (30 Avenue Montaigne); and his zodiac sign, Aquarius. With the touch of a button in the crown, the elements move for about 30 seconds, yielding a shooting star across the horizon. The clouds are engraved mother-of-pearl, the stars are gold and silver, and the Aquarius constellation boasts a brilliant-cut diamond. Just 28 pieces of this ultra-complicated 38mm white gold watch will be made, each set with 402 diamonds weighing approximately 3.11 carats.

A subsidiary of LVMH, the world's largest luxury group, Christian Dior is immersed in a profound pool of the best Parisian and global high-end brands. From fragrance to fine jewelry, it is a distinguished name in fashion and design, their watchmaking proving no exception.Drawing inspiration from couture and themes dear to Monsieur Dior, its timepieces epitomize elegance and grace as they are fashioned with rich materials and expertise. A prime example is the 2022 release, La D de Dior in Black Ultramatte. Embellished with 52 brilliant-cut diamonds and fastened by a Milanese mesh strap, the timepiece master's minimalism while retaining maximalist mechanism. Lines such as this and the Dior Grand Bal Plume preserve the classic rotundity of clock-faces, yet Dior also dares to create pieces that are bold, eye-catching and abstract. The Gem Dior collection excites with its staggered watch straps and asymmetrical face, bursting with color in a manner exemplary of the brand's contemporary flare.
