The dragonfly that adorns this Dior Grand Soir Libellule watch recalls the dragonflies that frequented the beautiful gardens of Monsieur Christian Dior. It pays homage to the colorful couture and jewelry that Dior loved. The body of the yellow gold dragonfly is set with sapphires, emeralds, diamonds and amethyst. The wings are made of mother-of-pearl in exquisite colors and feathers. The background dial is pavéd with snow-set round diamonds, and the bezel of the white gold 36mm case is also set with diamonds. Just 18 pieces will be made, but each is a unique piece due to the materials used.

A subsidiary of LVMH, the world's largest luxury group, Christian Dior is immersed in a profound pool of the best Parisian and global high-end brands. From fragrance to fine jewelry, it is a distinguished name in fashion and design, their watchmaking proving no exception.Drawing inspiration from couture and themes dear to Monsieur Dior, its timepieces epitomize elegance and grace as they are fashioned with rich materials and expertise. A prime example is the 2022 release, La D de Dior in Black Ultramatte. Embellished with 52 brilliant-cut diamonds and fastened by a Milanese mesh strap, the timepiece master's minimalism while retaining maximalist mechanism. Lines such as this and the Dior Grand Bal Plume preserve the classic rotundity of clock-faces, yet Dior also dares to create pieces that are bold, eye-catching and abstract. The Gem Dior collection excites with its staggered watch straps and asymmetrical face, bursting with color in a manner exemplary of the brand's contemporary flare.
