For the first time in IWC Schaffhausen's history, the brand has equipped a Spitfire watch with a perpetual calendar. A deft blend of sporty looks and elegance, the watch houses and manufacturer-made, self-winding movement, caliber 52615. It consists of 386 components and displays hours and minutes; seconds on the day of week disc; and day, date, month, year and moonphases for both the Northern and Souther hemispeheres. The perpetual calendar mechanism, developed by master watchmaker Kurt Klaus, is mechanically programmed to be accurate for 577 years. Its twin barrels equip it with seven days of power reserve, which is indicated within the date disc at 3 o'clock. Despite offering a wealth of information, the dark green, military-inspired dial is easy to read due to the nicely balanced indications.

The American dream is made reality through IWC Schaffhausen watches. Deeply rooted in American pioneering spirit and entrepreneurship, the brand combines this with Swiss engineering and ingenuity to create timepieces that challenge definitions of delusion. The unbound nature of the brand is reflected in its collections, which pay tribute to those who roam all corners of the world. From its Pilot's Watches collection that feature resistance to temperature fluctuations, patented SPRIN-g Protect systems and ergonomic case structures, we are invited to reflect on the transcendence of time. Similarly, engineered for navigators, the Portugieser collection incorporates classical technologies of haute horlogerie, including a double moon phase display and a developed tide indicator. The Portofino line also parades the moon phase mechanism with classy design, including an embossed silver plates dial and diamond embellishment to its watches.
