Demonstrating a unique design approach to the perpetual calendar, Glashütte Original turns out a truly contemporary piece. The Senator Excellence Perpetual Calendar features a harmoniously balanced dial with leap-year indication at 12 o'clock via a small aperture, the month at 2 o'clock, the brand's iconic Panorama Date at 4 o'clock, the moonphase indication at 8 o'clock and the day of week at 10 o'clock for a full look around the dial. The 42mm case is beautifully crafted in satin-polished rose gold. At the brand's Saxony, Germany, manufacture, each watch is subjected to a series of rigorous tests over a period of 24 days, under conditions even more demanding than those of the German chronometer test. A special engraving on the caseback serves as the seal of quality, and each owner is provided with the test results for their own watch.

Made in Germany' is a label that signifies durability, and the timepieces created by Glashütte Original are no exception. Unlike Swiss watchmakers, the wheel bridge that has been branded in Glashütte's watches since 1864 covers three-quarters of the movement's surface to ensure a more stable construction of movement. Its intricate screw balance mechanism that forms the oscillation system, swan-neck fine adjustment used to regulate the watch and famed stripe finish found on all Glashütte's watches, further exemplify the undying attention attributed to its craft, both internally and aesthetically. The recent PanMaticCalendar watch, crafted in platinum and of caliber 92-10, spotlights the brand's sophistication through its skeletonized movement and moonphase display. Equally impressive collections include the Senator, Spezialist and Vintage lines.
