German watch brand Glashütte Original turns to the concept of cities and street art for this PanoInverse limited edition watch. The dial and caseback are laser-engraved with a meticulous rendition of a skyline, complete with skyscrapers and a host of surprises as we journey around the watch. Slogans on billboards are visible, window cleaners on scaffolding, a graffiti artist spray-painting and even a resident on a balcony. The design is meant to represent modernity and vision, just like the brand does in its creation of timepieces. The in-house-made manual winding caliber is also an architectural triumph with a balance bridge, duplex-swan-neck fine adjustment and more visible through the sapphire windows. Just 50 pieces will be made.

Made in Germany' is a label that signifies durability, and the timepieces created by Glashütte Original are no exception. Unlike Swiss watchmakers, the wheel bridge that has been branded in Glashütte's watches since 1864 covers three-quarters of the movement's surface to ensure a more stable construction of movement. Its intricate screw balance mechanism that forms the oscillation system, swan-neck fine adjustment used to regulate the watch and famed stripe finish found on all Glashütte's watches, further exemplify the undying attention attributed to its craft, both internally and aesthetically. The recent PanMaticCalendar watch, crafted in platinum and of caliber 92-10, spotlights the brand's sophistication through its skeletonized movement and moonphase display. Equally impressive collections include the Senator, Spezialist and Vintage lines.
