A bastion of Billionaires’ Row, the Park Hyatt New York has just revealed plans for a multi-million dollar refresh that will arrive in conjunction with the hotel’s 10th anniversary. A decade is a lifetime in the hotel business, particularly when you are based on one of the world’s most affluent streets. This renovation is due to bring a series of enhancements to Park Hyatt New York, maintaining its position as a luxury offering within the highly competitive New York hotel scene.
As part of the renovation, Park Hyatt New York plans to open the doors to its new 3,500 sq-ft ‘Manhattan Suite’, surely a shoo-in for Elite Traveler’s next Top Suites ranking, in addition to updating the hotel’s premier specialty suites and opening the reopening of Spa Nalai.
“We are thrilled to unveil this remarkable transformation as we celebrate our 10th anniversary,” said Laurent Ebzant, area VP/general manager of Park Hyatt New York. “The introduction of the Manhattan Suite and the upgrades to our existing product reflects our unwavering commitment to providing guests with the most tailored and elevated hospitality experience. We are confident this renovation will set the standard for the next decade of excellence in New York’s luxury hotel landscape.”
The headline feature of this renovation is the ‘Manhattan Suite’ which aims to bring that refined New York opulence to the top floor of Park Hyatt New York. Located within a private wing, this impressive suite will come with the option to connect two adjoining guest rooms, adding two 140 sq-ft balconies that overlook Central Park to the already expansive suite. Once the rooms are connected, this suite becomes a three-bedroom wrap-around suite, with a spacious living area, an eight-person dining table, a butler kitchen and a private office.
When it comes to design the suite mixes geometric and organic elements, bringing together a variety of natural materials, combining stone and walnut paneling with walls covered by natural cloth. This minimalist aesthetic was chosen to incorporate both luxury and tranquility into the elevated suite. Light floods into the space, thanks to the floor-to-ceiling windows that stretch nearly 18 ft high, providing both skyline and Central Park views.
By January, Park Hyatt New York will pull the wraps off its updated specialty suites which will look to combine understated elegance with the vibrant buzz of New York City. Perhaps the premier update to these suites will be the inclusion of firepits in all rooms that feature an outdoor terrace.

This summer, Park Hyatt New York’s Rossano Ferretti Hairspar relocated to a new spot, while during fall, the hotel looks to reopen Spa Nalai in a new spot, this time much closer to the hotel’s acclaimed indoor saltwater pool.
As Park Hyatt New York crests its 10th anniversary, this multi-million dollar renovation cements the notion that in the New York luxury hotel business, companies need to keep things fresh or risk being left behind by the competition.
