With Easter just around the corner, it’s time to start planning that spring getaway. From a secluded retreat in the Tuscan hills to a celebratory stay on Caribbean shores, these are the best luxury escapes for Easter 2018.
Royal Savoy Hotel & Spa, Lausanne
In many parts of the world, Easter marks the arrival of spring. And as spring arrives in the city of Lausanne so do the brighter days, flourishing spring flowers and Easter events. The lavish Royal Savoy Hotel & Spa is celebrating the season with specially curated Easter escapes. Enjoy a long drawn out champagne brunch in the hotel’s Brasserie du Royal and indulge in an array of Swiss chocolate treats. Younger guests can join in on activities such as Easter egg decorating and the Winter Garden Easter egg hunt. To explore the city, cycle along the shores of Lake Geneva, stroll along the city’s historic cobbled streets and seek out cultural sites such as Lausanne Cathedral where a special concert takes place over Easter weekend. On returning to the hotel, set aside plenty of time to relax in the state-of-the-art spa complete with indoor and outdoor pools.
For a Tuscan escape this Easter, make the journey to the five-star hotel L’Andana, which sits amid the vineyards of the Maremma countryside on 1,250 acres of its own land. The hotel is home to the Michelin-starred restaurant Trattoria Enrico Bartolini and relaxed eatery La Villa, as well as an ESPA spa complete with Turkish baths, two swimming pools and tennis courts. Each suite is then decorated in warm Tuscan tones with views over the surrounding gardens. The hotel’s two-night Easter stay includes Easter lunch and Easter Monday brunch at La Villa restaurant, complimentary use of the wellness area and complimentary use of the hotel’s mountain bikes. Each Bodyism program at Amilla also includes a Body Oracle consultation and the unprocessed ingredient-led cuisine of Bodyism’s Clean and Lean philosophy. This Easter, all of this can be experienced with first-hand motivation from Duigan.

Jumby Bay Island
For a Caribbean Easter, head to Jumby Bay Island, which lies just off the coast of Antigua. Here, the spring holiday will be marked with special events including a formal Easter brunch and a classic Easter egg hunt on the island’s tropical lawns, all of which takes place in the breath-taking surroundings of the idyllic island. Secluded beaches and lush landscape provide the backdrop for a range of activities including golf, tennis and watersports. Request a private beach-side picnic, snorkel over the nearby coral reef and visit the neighboring islands on an island-hopping excursion. For each meal, try out one of the island’s inviting restaurants such as the elegant Verandah and waterfront Pool Grille.
This Maldivian island resort will be celebrating Easter in style with the help of three world renowned chefs—Kenji Gyoten of three-Michelin-starred Restaurant Sushi Gyoten; the co-founder of Noma, Bolivian restaurant GUSTU and Michelin-starred Agern and Great Northern Food Hall in NYC, Claus Meyer; and Max Mascia of the two-Michelin-starred Ristorante San Domenico in Italy—and the renowned French-American party band The Phly Boyz. You’ll also have the chance to try cooking over glass in SoGlassycle, which is the only glass studio in the Maldives. Children’s activities will include a variety of crafts and a party at the island’s observatory with visiting magicians and ventriloquists. Yoga, a windsurfing competition and astronomy sessions are just a few of the other activities taking place over the Easter period.
Over in Thailand, Soneva Kiri sits on the secluded island of Koh Kood. Here you can experience pit cooking on the beach, dine in a local fisherman’s home, learn to cook Thai cuisine with chef Benz and try your hand at making organic coconut oil. Thai arts and crafts, butterfly quests and fishing trips are then on offer for younger guests, which at Easter are complemented by activities such as Easter egg painting, an Easter egg hunt and a Soneva Chocolate High Tea. The main event of the Easter period though is the resort’s gastronomic Easter Parade at The Dining Room, in which mouth-watering dishes will be paired with wine and champagne. But to make something to take away with you, join the Private Chef’s Table Art of Chocolate Easter egg making class. There are plenty of opportunities to explore the resort’s surroundings too, from scuba diving and snorkeling to setting out on a rainforest adventure.
