Today marks National Tequila day so we’re naturally celebrating with a tequila cocktail. This recipe uses Clase Azul Gold, a new release from the Mexican brand that blends tequila Clase Azul Plata and an eight-year-old extra anejo that was first aged in bourbon barrels and then finished in Pedro Ximenez sherry casks. Named Al Atardecer, meaning ‘the sunset,’ this tequila cocktail is the perfect sundowner for balmy summer evenings.
Ingredients
—1.5oz Tequila Clase Azul Gold —0.5oz Agave nectar —0.5oz Lemon juice —1oz Orange juice —1oz English breakfast tea
Method
Add ingredients and ice into a cocktail shaker and shake vigorously. Serve over whole ice cubes in an old fashioned glass. Garnish with a dehydrated orange wheel and a sprig of fresh mint.
