Zrno Soli Split

In its setting within a marina, this fine dining restaurant provides views over the water and luxury yachts, which can be appreciated out on the terrace or from the interior dining space through floor-to-ceiling windows. With its waterside location, it’s no surprise that the local seafood and fish is the focus here and each dish comes appealingly presented with plenty of creativity put into each recipe. Try these plates with the restaurant’s recommended Croatian wine.

Restaurant Kadena

Positioned on the waterfront overlooking the harbour and beach, this popular restaurant is celebrated for its views as well as its food and wine. Over 400 varieties of wine are on display in the sophisticated main dining room having been chosen by sommelier Damir Slavakovic, making wine tastings an event here too. The kitchen then places the focus on top quality local ingredients, from both sea and land, including truffles, asparagus and wild rice.

Restaurant Split at Hotel Park

Split’s five-star Hotel Park is the elegant setting for this glamorous fine dining restaurant distinguished by its timeless style. Since 1921 Restaurant Split has taken pride in offering guests accomplished gastronomy. Now the chefs here combine tradition with modern culinary techniques and presentation. Expect to tuck into dishes like smoked duck breast tagliata, steak tartare, seafood risotto, lobster cooked to suit your taste and lamb chops in a Dalmatian spice crust. The wine list features Croatian and other European labels.

Nostromo Restaurant

This intimate restaurant combines an inviting dining space with classic décor of Croatian cherry wood, black granite and marble with fresh seafood that comes from the fish market the restaurant sits alongside. People come here for the quality of dishes such as carpaccio, seafood risotto, lobster and shrimp prepared according to the guest’s preference and a selection of meat dishes such as stuffed ram steak and veal escalope. Pair these with Croatian wine or champagne.
