The Restaurant
Lapérouse, a Parisian institution since 1766, offers a dining experience steeped in history and elegance. Situated on the Quai des Grands Augustins, this celebrated restaurant was once a favored haunt of literary giants such as Victor Hugo and Émile Zola. While Lapérouse held three Michelin stars from 1933 to 1968, it currently does not have any. Chef Christophe Guibert, with experience at Taillevent and The Georges V, helms the kitchen, aiming to restore the restaurant to its former glory. The ambiance exudes old-world charm, reminiscent of a bygone era, with opulent decor and intimate *petits salons*. For a more casual experience, Café Lapérouse resides in the Hôtel de la Marine, offering a trendy spot for breakfast, afternoon tea, or a light lunch.
