The Restaurant
La Grenouillère, under the direction of chef Alexandre Gauthier, offers a singular dining experience near Montreuil-sur-Mer. Gauthier, who took over the family restaurant in 2003, crafts cuisine that is both personal and rooted in the Opal Coast. The restaurant earned two Michelin stars for its exceptional cooking. Architect Patrick Bouchain reimagined the space in 2009, creating a setting that is intended to be more than just a restaurant, but a place of freedom and expression. The dining room offers views of the surrounding gardens, connecting the interior with the natural landscape. Gauthier's contemporary cuisine is French at its core, yet liberated from convention. The restaurant recently reopened in late February 2025 after undergoing renovations due to flooding, and the team is excited to welcome guests back.
