The Restaurant
Brat, located in Shoreditch, is chef Tomos Parry's ode to live-fire cooking, drawing inspiration from the Basque country. Housed on the first floor of a former pub, the wood-paneled dining room exudes a relaxed yet stylish atmosphere. The name 'Brat' is an Old English term for turbot, which is a house specialty, grilled whole over charcoal in a handmade basket. While turbot is a signature, the menu extends beyond, featuring other grilled fish and robustly flavored starters. Brat earned a Michelin star shortly after opening in 2018 and continues to be a Shoreditch dining destination. The restaurant emphasizes simple but delicious ingredients, cooked using traditional methods.
