Louis Vuitton Unveils Latest Bracelet in UNICEF Collab

For every bracelet sold, $150 is donated to the children’s charity.

By Irenie Forshaw

Louis Vuitton has unveiled the latest annual jewelry creation in its collaboration with children’s charity UNICEF – a stunning Silver Lockit Beads bracelet.

As with previous designs, the new bracelet features the Maison’s signature mini padlock, this time set between six silver beads.

The simple yet elegant new bracelet comes in three cord color options (red, black and blue), as well as a black cord version in titanium.

Designed to be worn individually or stacked, the versatile piece of jewelry is beautifully modeled by actress Chloe Grace Moretz – Louis Vuitton’s House Ambassador – in a series of sultry outdoor shots.

The latest release follows 2020’s limited-edition bracelet designed by the late Virgil Abloh. Louis Vuitton’s former men’s artistic director based his iteration on the tumbler lock invented by Georges Vuitton, the only child of the Maison’s founder, in 1890. Inspired by his Spring-Summer 2020 menswear collection, the bracelet featured colorful cords in hues of orange, green and blue with yellow flecks.

Since partnering with UNICEF in 2016, Louis Vuitton has raised over $20m for the children’s charity – a figure which continues to climb. Available in stores across the world, each Silver Lockit Beads bracelet sold will include a $150 donation to UNICEF.

It’s certainly a worthy cause. Proceeds will contribute to crucial work bringing life-saving humanitarian aid to some of the planet’s most vulnerable children. This includes UNICEF’s emergency programs that respond to disasters worldwide as they unfold such as the ongoing Ukraine conflict, the Covid-19 crisis in India, and the explosion in Lebanon in 2020.

Other urgent UNICEF aid programs Louis Vuitton has contributed to over the last six years include the Boko Haram attacks in Nigeria, and the emergency situation linked to the war in Yemen.
