MB&F Horological Machine No. 10 (2020)

The complex watch features carefully crafted elements that recall the body of the beloved bulldog.

By Roberta Naas

Affectionately nicknamed Bulldog, MB&F’s Horological Machine No. 10 truly became man’s best friend in the pandemic era. The complex watch features carefully crafted elements that recall the body of the beloved bulldog, including moveable lugs as legs, a stout body (case), a big head (high domed sapphire crystal) and two gazing eyes (aluminium cones that indicate the hours and minutes). It also features the dog’s jaws — sometimes with some big teeth bared — that is the power reserve indicator. The mouth is open when fully wound and closed as the power winds down. The belly of the dog is engraved with the words “Forget the dog, beware of the owner.” The watch also is equipped with 45 hours of power reserve, and incredible mechanics with a suspended balance wheel and more.
