Marinas in Miami

By Chris Boyle

Port of Miami

With the Bahamas and the Caribbean within sailing distance, and easy access to the city’s marinas via Government Cut, Miami is a prime location for superyacht owners from all over the world.

Just cruising around the Port of Miami and Biscayne Bay will provide yacht owners with stunning views, and the chance to see the superlative real estate of Millionaire’s Row, home to Miami’s many celebrities. An ever-popular destination for the rich and famous, it’s no surprise that the marinas of Miami offer world-class facilities and services.

Miami Beach Marina boasts a great location next to Government Cut, and is within easy reach of the excitement of nearby South Beach.

Being so ideally placed to the entrance to the Port of Miami gives those stationed at Miami Beach Marina unparalleled access to the ocean; precisely why the marina is called the ‘Gate to the Caribbean’. As well as being the official headquarters for the annual Miami Race Week, the Marina features a heated pool, deli, Texas de Brazil restaurant and fishing charters. With 400 boat slips, 40 berths for 25- 30 meters (82-98 feet) yachts and 13 berths for yachts over 30 meters (98 feet), the Miami Beach Marina has ample docking space, and each slip is equipped with fresh water, electricity, telephone and cable hook-ups.

The Sunset Harbour Yacht Club is ideally located near the South Beach area of Miami and is perfectly situated if you just want to cruise around the Port of Miami.

On top of this, there are plenty of restaurants and high-end shops within close proximity, and a selection of golf and tennis courts to keep families entertained. The Marina has 125 wet slips, 30 of which are capable of holding yachts up to 25 meters (98 feet), and a further 12 slots that hold yachts over 30 meters (82 feet). There is also a swimming pool and health club located at the Marina, which add to the state-of-the-art facilities and excellent service offered by the Sunset Harbour Yacht Club, which include Satellite TV, Wi-Fi internet and 24-hour security.
