Trump Hotel Collection Pampers Pets

By Pardhasaradhi Gonuguntla

Demonstrating a dogged determination to treat all guests like royalty, Trump Hotel Collection is rolling out the red carpet for four-legged jet-setters. The canine-conscious hotel brand, which represents the next generation of luxury hospitality, has unveiled generous pet policies at its iconic hotels in Chicago, New York and Las Vegas.

“Trump Hotel Collection recognizes that, for our guests who have pets, Fido is far more than man’s best friend; he is a cherished member of the family,” said Jim Petrus, the brand’s chief operating officer. “As such, we are committed to providing our canine visitors as warm a welcome and as luxurious a stay as any other guest at our hotels.”

At Trump International Hotel & Tower® Chicago, pups will find their room outfitted with every amenity they need for a comfortable stay, including a plush dog bed, gourmet treats, a water bowl, and a fresh bottle of water to fill it. A rubber ball will provide hours of in-room entertainment, and with his owner’s help, Spot can order from a special in-room dining menu of doggie delights. For the dog about town, the hotel also provides a book on dog-friendly places throughout Chicago, access to an outdoor dog park around the new Trump Riverwalk area, and dog-walking services arranged through the concierge. No special cleaning fee is charged (a deposit is required for guests paying cash) and pets are limited to
25 pounds.

Canine travelers can take a bite out of the Big Apple at two Trump Hotel Collection properties: Trump International Hotel & Tower™ New York and the soon-to-debut Trump SoHo™ New York, opening Feb. 1, 2010. Bowls, biscuits, blankets and chew toys are provided at the brand’s midtown flagship hotel, while the SoHo property will include all of the above (in the form of a pet dinner set with croc embossed placemats, gourmet dog treats and plush bone toys) plus a dog bed inspired by famed photographer William Wegman and dog walking service arranged by the concierge. Both New York hotels charge a mandatory $250 cleaning fee per room per stay for canine guests, and limit size to 25 pounds.

Trump International Hotel™ Las Vegas also welcomes dogs and their favorite humans to its soaring gold tower above the Strip. The hotel limits the family pet to 25 pounds and charges a mandatory $200 cleaning fee per room per stay.
