At Saudi Arabia’s vast Vision 2030 development NEOM, Equinox Hotels has announced plans to open Equinox Resort Treyam at one of the 12 destinations that make up the region of Magna, Neom’s luxury coastal destination.
Looking to deliver an ‘unrivaled hospitality experience’, Equinox Hotels is set to bring its unique take on high-performance hospitality to an area of the Middle East that has previously seen little to no development – the Gulf of Aqaba. Positioned in a picturesque strip of Saudi Arabia where mountains meet the sea, this new resort looks set to introduce an entirely new set of visitors to this corner of the world.
“As a region, Neom embodies the future of luxury hospitality, and Equinox Hotels is thrilled to create an unparalleled resort experience within this visionary destination,” said Equinox Hotels’ CEO, Christopher Norton. “Our partnership with Neom highlights a shared commitment to innovation, sustainability and redefining the boundaries of hospitality. Located between The Line and the southernmost point of the Gulf of Aqaba, our resort will serve as the model for transformative luxury, activating the entire destination with experiences that only Equinox Hotels can offer.”

Perhaps one of the most striking aspects of this new development is its architecture. The northern and southern shores of Treyam are set to be connected by an impressive 1500ft bridge-like structure that stands 130ft above the lagoon below.
An expansive swimming pool on its roof will run the entire length of the structure, where visitors will also be able to find rooms, suites, various culinary concepts, a clubhouse, and as it’s an Equinox property, of course there will be an impressive spa. This spa will focus on longevity, in addition to health and performance, featuring some of the latest technologies in the wellness space.
“Neom has always been about pioneering the extraordinary, and our partnership with Equinox Hotels underscores this commitment,” said Magna executive director Jeremy Lester. “Equinox Resort Treyam embodies the convergence of innovation and luxury, and this partnership will redefine sustainable hospitality with a focus on truly immersive experiences and active lifestyles. I’m proud to champion this collaboration, one that will see us shape the future of luxury hospitality.”
A Saudi Arabian retreat for health-conscious travelers this new resort will be rooted in Equinox’s core values of movement, nutrition, regeneration and community.
