Following its 2022 opening, Rosewood São Paulo has cemented its status as one of – if not the – Brazilian metropolis’ most luxurious hotels with the launch of its all-new Penthouse Suite.
Covering 12,000 sq ft with space for up to eight guests, the new accommodation sits atop Rosewood São Paulo’s Mata Atlantica Tower with captivating views across the enormous city below.
Best for absorbing these views is the suite’s hidden rooftop garden, complete with an infinity pool. Inspired by Brazil’s gargantuan rainforests, the garden has been designed with an intentionally overgrown feel: lush plants – all of which are native – cling to exposed metal beams while winding pathways lead to secret secluded seating areas.

Inside, the penthouse is a design marvel. Brought to life by Phillipe Starck and Pritzker Prize-winning Jean Nouvel, a double-height lounge forms the heart of the space with huge windows beckoning the skyline views in. Flashy elements such as a gilded bronze ceiling and a floating marble staircase combine with more muted details including natural wood paneling and convivial scattered seating to create a luxurious yet still welcoming home-away-from-home vibe.
The guest bedrooms are effortlessly stylish, while the bathrooms are a riot of extravagance – an oversized marble bathtub plonked in the middle of a fully marble bathroom with full city views is a real highlight.

As with the wider hotel, the suite offers a curated art program that highlights local artists. Their interpretations of Brazilian culture and history come to life across different mediums throughout the Penthouse Suite, from sculptures and paintings to textiles and drawings.
A stay in the penthouse also comes with a host of exclusive extras including round-the-clock butler service; all-inclusive food and drink, including champagne and spirits; car service; dedicated security; and exclusive spa access. The crowning jewel of the suite’s extra treats, however, is the chance to experience an intimate in-suite live musical performance.
