Luxury ski resorts? Austria has plenty. And, come 2026, yet another exclusive property will open its doors: Six Senses Kitzbühel.
If the renderings are anything to go by, this is an opening to get excited about. Situated within the Kitzbühel region, a fashionable resort in the western Austrian province of Tyrol, the stylish resort will have just 77 rooms, alongside a collection of 40 private residences.
Unlike some hotels in the area, Six Senses Kitzbühel will be open all year round. Over the winter, guests will enjoy ski-in, and ski-out access to the slopes, while those visiting during the summer months will be able to make the most of the area’s scenic hiking trails.

Six Senses brought in Martin Brudnizki to put his stamp on the interiors. The world-renowned designer has kept things relatively pared back, using plenty of natural materials to create cozy, inviting spaces filled with natural light.
Reminiscent of a classic Austrian chalet, expect sloping wooden-beamed ceilings and balconies revealing sweeping vistas of the mountains.
After a long day on the icy slopes, guests can retire to the spa to warm up and indulge in some R&R. Expert therapists will be on hand to carry out an array of treatments from signature massages to body wraps and facials. The spa will feature both an indoor lap pool, and heated outdoor rock pools, alongside a sauna, steam room, and indoor and outdoor gym.
Crucially, Six Senses is also making efforts to minimize the environmental impact of its new resort, to ensure its Kitzbühel property is entirely powered by solar, green electricity, and geothermal energy by 2030.
“We’re thrilled to be expanding Six Senses’ Alpine offering, especially in such a coveted resort as Kitzbuhel,” commented Michael Staininger, owner of the Kitzbühel project at Six Senses.
“We’ve worked hard to develop a project that will do much more for Alpine tourism and the local community than being yet another ultra-luxury resort. We want to create a space where people experience true happiness and wholeness. Where body and mind are connected, and where so many things that get lost in the digital hustle can be re-established.”
