Elite Traveler Reveals Top 100 Suites in the World 2024

From city penthouses to Antarctic pods, here are the most exclusive accommodations in the world.

By Alex Martin

Elite Traveler has revealed the Top 100 Suites for 2024, showcasing the pinnacle in modern luxury and hospitality. The Top 100 Suites is presented alongside an updated World’s Finest Suites database containing key information on over 1,500 exclusive hotel accommodations.

With stunning behind-the-scenes images, descriptions and luxury rankings, World’s Finest Suites allows you to search for your next hotel stay using over 60 different criteria including location, price per night and number of bedrooms.

Every suite in the database hits the minimum standard of five-star luxury, but the majority go above and beyond. Through detailed analysis, we have also given special mention to suites that meet exacting specifications for privacy, sustainability, fine dining and more.

Throughout this year, we’ll be further improving our database by categorizing the very best according to vacation type, starting in March with Top City Suites. This reflects the way this year’s Top 100 Suites have been presented in the Winter print edition of Elite Traveler.

You can check out the full list in our database and in the table below. We’ve also picked out a few notable suites we think have to be seen to be believed.

The Penthouse Suite, The Post Oak Hotel at Uptown Houston

They say everything is bigger in Texas, so it’ll come as no surprise to learn that the USA’s biggest penthouse suite is found in Houston. This over-the-top abode from The Post Oak Hotel at Uptown Houston has some outrageous amenities, including a half-basketball court and 23 chandeliers. The duplex Penthouse Suite has a total of 22,000 sq ft to enjoy, including a sports-themed lower floor featuring a gym and wet sauna, an interactive games room, and a personal theater room – complete with a popcorn machine, snacks and refreshments – as well as the aforementioned half-court. It will, however, cost you. At $125,000 per night, it is the priciest suite in this year’s list. Oh, and there’s a two-night minimum as well.

Star Dune Suite, andBeyond Sossusvlei Desert Lodge

Few hotels in the world can compare to andBeyond Sossusvlei Desert Lodge, located in a 31,420-acre reserve in the Namibian desert. The lodge’s surroundings are more like the surface of Mars than anywhere on Earth. The hotel has just 10 suites; the Star Dune Suite features two large, separate bedrooms connected by a communal living area. The lodge and the Star Dune Suite are contemporary, with flecks of local influence.

The Tower Penthouse Apartment, Badrutt’s Palace Hotel

St Moritz is known just as much for its hedonistic vibes as its alpine charm, and Badrutt’s Palace Hotel, with its underground nightclub and A-list clientele, is the center of it all. If clubbing until sunrise isn’t quite your scene, head to the top of the hotel to the Tower Penthouse Apartment. Made available for the first time in 30 years following the departure of a long-term, top-secret resident, the 3,400 sqft suite has stupendous views over Lake Moritz (perfect for watching the Snow Polo World Cup).

The Peninsula Suite, The Peninsula Istanbul

The Peninsula secured one of the hottest spots in Istanbul for its new property, right on the banks of the Bosphorus in the city’s historic Karaköy district. Occupying the entire top floor of the property’s southernmost building, the 5,447-sq-ft Peninsula Suite is the best place to soak up the views. The sprawling suite has an elegant living room complete with a baby grand piano, a private hammam and a lavish bathroom clad in Marmara marble. The real draw, however, is the outdoor terrace, which features a private rooftop swimming pool and breathtaking glass house solarium.

The stone terrace has alfresco dining space, an infinity pool and Jacuzzi with mountain views.
