The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, opening its doors to the public at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 15, will premiere its series of curated musical events with an exclusive concert by Brandon Flowers at The Boulevard Pool beginning at 10 p.m. Tickets for the show are available via contests on The Cosmopolitan’s social media channels and www.twitter.com/cosmopolitan_lv, and a limited number of radio giveaways, beginning Monday, Nov. 8. The show also can be seen by those on the Las Vegas Strip when the performance is broadcast live on the resort’s 65 foot digital marquee.
The Las Vegas native and Killers front-man will be performing songs from his debut solo album, Flamingo, a classic American rock album full of extraordinary choruses, vast instrumentation and Flowers’ incredible voice. Inextricably tied to Vegas in both showmanship and ideology, Flamingo is packed full of sparkling, stadium-ready songs that run the gamut from expert pop executions and forlorn electro dirges to gospel tunes and even blues-tinged rock.

Also performing December 15, The Cosmopolitan will introduce its series of touring and up-and-coming entertainment acts taking stage on casino floor hot-spots Book & Stage, Bond and The Chandelier. Mayer Hawthorne, the newest contributor to the retro musical genre will perform two sets at Book & Stage at 9 p.m. and 11 p.m. and will continue nightly through Saturday, Dec. 18. Bond, located just off the North entrance on Las Vegas Boulevard, will feature Beats Antique, known for their live electronic and world roots music, merging modern technology, live instrumentation and seductive performances beginning at 8 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. and continue nightly through Saturday, Dec. 18. Australian sisters Liv and Mim Nervo, commonly known as Nervo, will bring their clever lyrics, indelible melodies and bold, sassy electro-pop sound to The Chandelier Dec. 15 for an incredible DJ set from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. and will continue nightly through Saturday, Dec. 18. Performances are open to the public.
The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas will feature artists at the forefront of the touring world and emerging artists that will inspire the next musical movements coupled with spectacularly-designed, technology-driven venues. The Boulevard Pool will set the stage for Las Vegas’ most unique live concerts. Perched high above The Las Vegas Strip, The Boulevard Pool is a multilevel pool experience by day and an intimate outdoor concert venue with unobstructed sightlines of both the stage and The Strip by night. The excitement of live-music and sports action spills onto the casino floor from Book & Stage, an upscale sports and entertainment lounge, while live DJs fill the rhythmic and vibrant hot-spot Bond with the best in house-music. Finally, The Chandelier, a dramatic inhabitable three-story chandelier, features the most progressive DJs playing the latest in mainstream and underground.
