Even the most seasoned travelers will find the Royal Mansour utterly remarkable. Established by the King of Morocco, it is an unparalleled showpiece for the country’s indigenous crafts and artisanal heritage, a living museum where the ceilings are formed of carved cedarwood and the floors shine with kaleidoscopic spreads of hand-laid zellige tiles. A standalone four-bedroom, 19,400-sq-ft abode — a private palace, really — the Grand Riad delivers the same attention to detail and uncompromising quality. It feels like a privilege to stay in a masterpiece that so few people will ever see. Past the entrance lined with olive trees, there’s one immensely beautiful room after another to discover, be it another inviting lounge, the bar or the library. Elsewhere you’ll find a cinema, hammam, gym, roof terrace, pristine gardens and an elegant pool shaded by mature palm trees.

A dedicated staff, including personal chefs and wellness trainers, handles logistics and caters to every requirement. For downtime, the villa is equipped with a full suite of relaxation facilities: a sauna, steam room, spa treatment room, and a private fitness suite.
The Empathy Suite
Palms Casino Resort
- Las Vegas, United States
The Empathy Suite is not merely a penthouse—it’s a two-story, two-bedroom masterpiece where art, architecture, and excess collide. Envisioned by Damien Hirst, this provocative villa is part gallery, part fantasy, and entirely unlike anything else in the world. Six original Hirst works are featured—including Winner/Loser, featuring two bull sharks in formaldehyde, and Here for a Good Time, Not a Long Time, where marlin skeletons float above a 13-seat bar embedded with medical paraphernalia. Hirst’s signature motifs—butterflies, pills, and diamonds—are intricately woven throughout, from pill-encrusted panels and custom furnishings to the butterfly mosaic-tiled pool that cantilevers over the Strip. Inside, the suite unfolds in bold, kaleidoscopic glamour: mirrored ceilings, luminous surfaces, and butterfly-covered walls set a surreal stage. Hirst-designed foosball and pool tables ensure endless entertainment, while two massage rooms, a salt therapy sauna, and 24-hour butler service provide a sanctuary of indulgence. With a private terrace and sweeping views of the skyline, the Empathy Suite is for those who don’t just collect art, but live inside it.

Inside, a double-height rotunda acts as the architectural centerpiece, where a sculptural marble staircase links the two levels. The layout successfully balances grand scale with intimate functionality, making it ideal for both hosting large gatherings and quiet retreat. The salon transitions smoothly into a dining area, illuminated by custom fixtures, with a fluted marble bar set nearby for late-night toasts.
The design emphasizes quality across every surface. Bespoke craftsmanship defines the space, visible everywhere from the hand-selected artwork to the richly layered textiles used throughout. Two emperor-sized bedrooms offer deep comfort and complete discretion, each serviced by its own marble bathroom.

Guests receive the complete 24-hour Raffles service in-suite, eliminating the need to use the main facilities.

Three Bedroom Olhahali Water Retreat with Pool (HIRI Villa)
Jumeirah Olhahali Island
- Malé, Maldives
Opening in 2021, Jumeirah Olhahali Island Maldives is not your run of the mill thatched roof Maldivian private resort. Instead, French architect Isabelle Miaja drew inspiration from luxury superyachts and the adventures of James Bond. The result? Sixty-seven sleek white over-ocean and beach villas with seductive curves in all the right places. Roof terrace and wooden verandas with generous plunge pools hover over the pristine turquoise lagoon. Inside, clean lines and light-filled spaces exude an understated glamor. This is modern Maldives living at its finest.
Head to the very end of the overwater walkway and you will arrive at the Three Bedroom Olhahali Water Retreat with Pool, also known as the HIRI Villa (named after the majestic ‘brain coral’). The 10,730-sq-ft two-story villa’s position means guests enjoy unrivaled privacy with nothing but uninterrupted Indian Ocean views. Blending indoor-outdoor living, the full-length roof terrace is perfect for alfresco dining, whilst a private 18-meter infinity pool, private dock and sunken lounge on the lower deck are accessed via fully reclining doors from the double-height living room.
Floor-to-ceiling windows illuminate the villa's contemporary interiors and all three bedrooms feature ensuites with baths and private terraces for catching the sun with a quiet morning coffee. Added luxuries include a butler, mini wine cellar, a private gym with steam room and sauna.
Optional in-room treatments mean you don’t need to stop by the resort’s Talise Spa for a dose of pampering (though the spa’s serene overwater treatment villas located on the island’s southernmost tip are well worth a stop).
Located in the North Male Atoll, the Jumeirah Olhahali Island Maldives can be accessed by seaplane but for the most James Bond of entrances, opt to arrive in the resort’s new Gulf Craft 48 VIP yacht.
