Highlighting its exceptional gem-setting mastery, Rolex this year unveils the entirely gem-set Lady-Datejust watch. Crafted in 18-karat yellow gold, the fantastic watch is set with more than 200 brilliant-cut diamonds on the case sides, lugs and bezel. The much-coveted President bracelet is further ensconced with 596 brilliant-cut diamonds, and the pavé diamond dial boasts another 291 stones. Each diamond is painstakingly set by hand after the master setter readies the gold that holds it in place. The black Roman numerals are actually 18-karat gold with a black finish. The watch is powered by a mechanical movement, caliber 2236, which carries the brand's exclusive Superlative Chronometer certi fication ensuring its durability and precision. That movement led to the development of multiple patents and is fitted with high-tech silicium and other alloy components. The 28mm Oyster case is fitted with a Twinlock winding crown with double waterproofness and a scratchproof sapphire crystal with a Cyclops lens over the date.
