The Theatre des Champs-Elysees played host to Karl Lagerfeld’s first ever “Haute Fourrure” collection for Fendi last week, where guests admired a collection of 30 looks made out of fur. One particular coat was valued by The Financial Times at $1 Million.

The most talked about piece in the Fendi fur collection is made from sable, a valuable type of fur. Each follicle has been coated in pure silver providing a shimmering, luminous effect all while maintaining its softness.

Fendi has long been acquainted with fur, but the first ever Haute Fourrure show also coincided with the Italian fashion house’s 50th birthday. The collection showcased looks made from mink, chinchilla and sable.
